2016 Works in Progress Call for Abstracts

Thank you for your interest in participating in ANA’s 2016 Annual Meeting.  Works in Progress Abstract submissions are being accepted until July 15, 2016. 

2016 Call for Abstract Site

*Please note: All abstracts will be considered for a poster presentation.  If you would like your abstract to be considered for an oral presentation, you will have the option to select your abstract to be considered for a data blitz presentation during one of the special interest group symposia through the abstract submission process under the award information step.

If you wish to withdraw your abstract or are unable to attend ANA’s 2016 Annual Meeting, please email info@myana.org by Monday, August 29th. 

Abstract presenters will have the opportunity to:

  • Network with academic neurologists and neuroscientists in small group settings
  • Engage in interactive Special Interest Group Symposia
  • Learn tips on becoming a successful investigator and teacher at daily faculty development workshops
  • Be considered for a travel award

Travel Awards - up to $60,000!  (Works in Progress abstracts submissions are not eligible for travel awards)

The ANA Board of Directors and Scientific Program Advisory Committee are particularly interested in supporting clinical and basic scientists in the early stages of their careers. In an effort to support research of early career faculty and students, the ANA has allocated up to $60,000 in Travel Awards to assist in covering travel expenses for presenting student authors.  Learn More. 

Abstract Fees

ANA Members: $75 per abstract
Non-Members: $175 per abstract
Students/Residents: $50 per abstract

Abstract Notification

Presenting/contact authors will receive notification of the status of their submitted abstracts in August.  If you do not receive an email notification regarding your abstract by August 31, 2016, please send an email inquiry to Technical Support at c4asupport@coetruman.com.

Your email will receive a prompt answer.  Inquiries before August 31, 2016 will not receive a response.  All poster presenters are expected to cover their own travel and lodging and pay the registration fees. 

Abstract Sessioning

Accepted abstracts are organized into scientific poster sessions.  The presenting/contact author will receive specific presentation information including the date and time of their poster presentation, an assigned poster number and poster guidelines.

Don’t Forget to Register for the Meeting!

Please note that the abstract fee does not include registration to the annual meeting.  The presenting/contact authors are expected to register for ANA’s 2016 Annual Meeting and present their abstracts in a poster session.  If the presenting/contact author cannot attend, presentation by a co-author is acceptable.  If no one can present, please email info@myana.org immediately to mark your abstract as “withdrawn.”
