Oral Abstract Presentations

Special Interest Group Symposia

Data Blitz Presentations

The ANA is offering concurrent special interest group sessions on Sunday and Monday of the annual meeting.  Each session will feature a review of hot topics by experts in a related sub-specialty.  Senior leaders should encourage junior faculty and students including, Assistant Professors, Instructors, Fellows, and Residents to take advantage of this unique opportunity for their accepted abstract to be included in one of the special interest group sessions.

The individual should be the presenting author of the work.  The final selection of special interest group data blitz presentations will be made by experts in the field and based on the quality of the submitted abstract in that topic category.  Speakers will give a short presentation of their work, followed by a question and answer period.

*Please note: Notifications to presenting authors who have been selected for a data blitz presentation will begin going out in June, 2016.

When submitting an abstract, the abstract submitter will be able to select if they would like their abstract to also be considered for a data blitz presentation under the award information step.  They will also be able to select which special interest group they would like to make a data blitz presentation.

Topic areas for the special interest group symposia include:

  • Autoimmune Neurology
  • Behavioral Neurology
  • Cerebrovascular Disease
  • Dementia and Aging
  • Education
  • Epilepsy
  • Headache and Pain
  • Health Services Research
  • Interventional Neurology
  • Movement Disorder
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Neuro-Oncology
  • Neurocritical Care
  • Neuromuscular Disease
  • Sleep Disorders and Circadian Rhythm

If your abstract is accepted for a poster presentation and you selected to be considered for an oral presentation during one of the Special Interest Groups, you will receive a notification if your abstract was also accepted for a data blitz presentation.
